A partnership between Football Australia and the Royal Australian Mint sees a range of CommBank Matildas coins released across Australia.
The Royal Australian Mint has a history of capturing Australian stories and sporting moments. The Royal Australian Mint has released a range of coins featuring the CommBank Matildas and the upcoming historic 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
The aluminium-bronze coin measures 20.5000 mm in diameter, weighs 6.60 g and the edge is milled interrupted 20 notches in 4 sections. On the reverse, each of the three different $2 coins includes a coloured circle encompassing a football and the team’s year of establishment, 1978 and the obverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by British engraver Jody Clark and also includes the Queen’s years of reign – reading “Elizabeth II 1952 - 2022”.
This coin was removed from circulation at an early stage and has dark green coloured circle encompassing a football.
Pick-up from Forest Lake or postage extra. [Standard Postage will cost $2.50].
