**700c** RARE RETRO Road Wheelset, beatifully restored for your projec
$450
You are looking at a rare wheelset, almost 100% original.
A wheeset ready to install ito your retro restoration or rebuild
These wheels come up beatifully, running smooth, true and looking like they have come off a bicycle only a year from new with only brake pad marks on the braking surface with the lightest of light marks which aren't grooves, please refer to pictures 7 & 8.
The rare hubs are Taiwanese branded 'KK' which stands for 'King Kong', the rims are branded 'FL' with 'CN' spokes lacing it all together.
I am unable to find much information on the 'KK' brand, it seems to have been quite big in the BMX seen, with information being short on the rims to.All our wheels whether we build them or not are inspected and treated with the heighest regard, being trued, tensioned and bearings adjusted as needed.
Our builds take time, around 1.5 - 2 hours per wheel, starting by preparing the rim by removing all sharp edges and 'counter sinking' the nipple seats, the spokes are washed to clean off manufacturing lubricant, threads then prepped with 'our' special binding compound (not locking as LOCTITE), spoke head washers are used if the hub flange is slightly narrow keeping the hub/spoke interface snug then when assembling the wheel, a special long life grease is added to the nipples, lubricating the rim/nipple surface, yes each one is done individually.
Why do this??... To have the best and most consistant feel when tensioning the spokes, so together all the individual pieces become one, a 'UNIT'.
For you, this means the wheel is delivered in the best possible operating condition for effortlessly riding increasing wheel life and your enjoyment.......

It's a ****ONE OF A KIND**** Ok, as a bicycle restorer, builder and wheel builder, I had some time to amuse myself, So... I built this fun MAMBO clown bike, yes I call this a clown bike. (a day per wheel to build) As the wheels are different, the hubs are NOT in the middle of the wheel/rim meaning eccentric.
