- Fuchsia - hardy varieties in AdelaideTwo Fuchsia varieties. The first, (see 1st 2 pictures attached), is from a Renmark garden and is quite hardy growing in the garden or in a hanging basket or container, in a semi shaded location. It grows to about 75cms tall and has medium sized flowers. The second is Fuchsia magellanica from semi arid coastal areas of Chile where it has moderate temperatures, and coastal fog, but low rainfall.
