Job description
Scenic Health are looking for experienced mental health support workers in Hobart to help participants access the community on a regular basis and uphold their quality of life. Mental Health training and experience is essential to this position.

Duties the role may include:
- Supporting community access, social engagement
- Keeping participant/s engaged in their lifestyle choices.
- Supporting participants to develop life skills and confidence in tasks and out in the community.
- Helping implement tools to help develop and keep motivation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A willingness to support people with mental health and complex mental health illnesses.
- An understanding that starting with someone new takes time.
- Patience to work on and build a rapport with the participant.
- Willingness to support people with complex mental health and challenging behaviors.
- Have great communication skills and awareness of own mental health and willing to ask and accept support when needed.
Essential Criteria:
- Cert 3 individual support or higher.
- Mental health training and experience.
- Blue card.
- Yellow card with NDIS screening.
- First Aid and CPR.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable car.
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Required)
- Working with Children Check (Required)
- National Police Certificate (Required)
- Driver License (Required)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (Required)
- NDIS Screening check (Required)
