Extremely rare and hard to find copy of the 1982 Quartet Books 1st UK edition of 'Jungle Fever' the very first book on the work of legendary French photographer, visual artist and designer Jean-Paul Goude. The 144 page hardcover book is quarto size and measures 30.5 cm x 26 cm x 2.5 cm. It's missing the dust jacket though that famous photo can be seen inside and there is some wear to the black board covers but the contents are in very good condition.
The book was designed by Jean-Paul Goude himself and it's a autobiographical visual feast of his amazing photos, sketches, collages, album covers, videos, costume and set designs together with personal anecdotes and reminiscences. It features the iconic collaborations with Grace Jones, Toukie and others as well as his early to mid 1970s work in New York. I can't show a lot of the pictures due to the extensive nudity but if you're a connoisseur of Goude's work then you'll know this extraordinary book and how desirable it is.
Please examine all the photos carefully and contact me if you have any questions. Pick up from Kensington NSW 2033 in Sydney Eastern Suburbs and postage is also available.
I'm downsizing my collections and selling rare fashion, photography and design books, vintage magazines, pictures, jewellery and a variety of other items. I have eclectic tastes so please check out my other ads while you're here to see more unique finds. Thanks for looking.
