'Arthur Streeton 1867 - 1943' by Geoffrey Smith for the National Gallery of Victoria in very good condition. It's a large format "art quality" book issued to accompany the exhibition of the same name at the National Gallery of Victoria and then a few other major art galleries.
From the Introduction:- 'Arthur Streeton 1867 - 1943' celebrates the achievements of one of Australia's greatest painters. Streeton was acknowledged during his lifetime as the finest painter of the Australan landscape; he was the first Australian painter to be honoured by a retrospective exhibition in his own lifetime; and only the second to be knighted. When he died in 1943, it was believed that his fame could only increase with time. Unlike the work of those whose influence and popularity has dwindled since their deaths, the art of Arthur Streeton has endured, inspiring successive generations of artists and art lovers.
