Red Frangipani - Larger (last yr) or Smaller (Price 4 large:P-Up Only)
$18
SHIPPING OFFERED
Have several red flowering Frangipanis to choose from. Price is for each with larger being $18 and smaller being $13:-
[All have grown a bit with recent rains since photos were taken]
Photos 1 - 4 show the four larger plants for which cuttings were taken mid'22 and repotted in Aug'23 [ie they have been through their seasonal dropping of leaves once]. They're just in soil with a bit of compost and sand mixed in, but clearly they are quite happy with that and are less likely to topple over. Pots are 170 - 200mm with stems approx 27cm - 46cm.
Photos 5 - 7 show the seven smaller ones for which the cuttings were taken at the start of Aug'23 whilst the plant was without leaves. Pots for these are 140mm with stems approx 10cm - 33cm.
Photo 8 shows the flowers on a plant sold last year, which was a cutting from the same original plant, to give an indication of what they will look like. Unfortunately these weren't quite as red as the original plant as I'd kept it in a mostly shady spot where it was only getting a couple of hours of sun a day, and some recent reading suggests that the colour of the flowers can be affected if the plant isn't getting as much sunlight as it would like [apparently pink flowering frangipani can produce totally white flowers in similar circumstances]. The original plant's flowers were very red, which is what caught my eye, so these should produce the same in full sun.
Update: Photo 9 shows the first flower on these, which have been kept in full sun since putting on this season's leaves.
Pick-up only. Sorry.
Please note:-
- Inspections welcome.
- Best to phone [three&two zero&nine seven&one eight&two] if you are keen to collect. I don't use a mobile and often only get to check messages late in the evening, so please check your email for replies [they sometimes end up in your Spam folder].
- No Paypal [sorry]
