Two 1950-60s Vintage Potato (Praties) Metal Baskets (71x40x27cms)
$44
2 galvanised metal baskets (approx. 71x40x27cms) which were used in Sydney's Sutherland Shire in the 1950-60s by a potato carter to deliver spuds from the markets to shops and restaurants servicing that area. Each basket has a metal sign embossed "PRATIES" which is an Irish derivation of potatoes and is either the name of the business which the carter worked for or simply to signify what went in them. - 5 Vintage Small Silverplated Meat Serving ForksCollection of 5 vintage/perhaps antique meat server forks. Most are silverplated although the silver has worn off the oldest 5-pronged one. That one was made by Mappin and Webb, silversmiths based in both London and Sheffield between about 1880 and 1920. Unfortunately, it has a crack in the faux bone-handle on one side too. The longest one with the pinkish faux bone-handle is about 175mm long and the shortest (all metal) is 140mm long. Postage is not included in price.
