This is a vintage musical instrument carrying case made of wood and treated fabric. It has two trunk catches and a leather handle that work well. It measures 94cm long x 24cm wide x 7cm [at the thinnest] and [13cm at the fattest] deep. Great for carrying your sandwiches to work. It comes from a smoke-free home. This china plate was made in December 1903 and shows an illustration of the draper's shop built in 1898 in Emerson Street, Napier, New Zealand belonging to Councillor James Porteous Thomson. The plate was buried under the rubble after the 3 February 1931 Hawkes Bay earthquake, but in two pieces.
