Upgrade Windows on old PC still running 8.1

My 9 year old PC had blue screens all the time, slow, clogged up with multiple copies of files, I was vulnerable - unsupported by Win 8.1.
KB turned it around fast, trustworthy with passwords and emails, I had no loss of data or files. My issues were easily dealt with, for a very fair $deal.
He's obviously capable of tackling much more complex issues than mine were.
