Stamped by the manufacturer K64 J & H Kerkmann, Ahlen Westfalen, Circa 1917. A rolling mill heating lot number R822 (Stahlwerk Röchling, Volkingen), is stamped to the inside of the crown. It presents in original, undamaged & unmodified condition. The factory camouflage paint finish is visible, intact & preserved. It exhibits a good, unmolested patina. An impressive, original M17 stahlhelm stamped Si62 Eisenhuette Silesia, Paruschowitz Oberschlesien. It was produced in factory Feldgrun & was later painted winter camouflage. Dated 1915 & marked JR111, it bears the state issued Prussian Line Helmewappen & is fitted with the Mannschaften red & white Kokarde plus the Prussian State black & white Kokarde. Stamped by the maker "Whertmann & Braun Berlin" & also labelled by the liner fitter "Trenkel & Compagnie". It is a rare "Bull Nose" visor of circa 1915 manufacture. All hardware in M15 "Feldgrau" is original & complete. The spike removes & is a firm fit. The spine strap vent operates properly.
