Very cute collectable ceramic children’s bowls and plate. Ride a Cock Horse to Banbury Cross, Humpty Dumpty and Old Mother Hubbard themed nursery rhymes all made by Johnson of Australia.
Bowl “Ride a cock horse to Banbury cross to see an old lady upon a white horse, rings on her fingers, and bells on her toes, And so she makes music wherever she goes.”
Lovely bright graphics of a boy riding a wooden hobby horse.
Bowl “Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the kings horses and all the kings men couldn’t put Humpty together again.”
Lovely picture of Humpty on the wall. It’s got a bit of wear but overall in great condition.
Plate “Old mother Hubbard went to the cupboard to fetch her poor dog a bone. But when she got there the cupboard was bare and the poor dog had none.”
There is wear to the graphics but they are still reasonably bright and clear.
The bowls measure 15.5 cm in diameter and 4.5cm in depth.
The plate measures 17.5cm in diameter.
All have beige background with tiny speckles throughout. No crazing chips or cracks.
Very minor blemishes either from time of manufacture or from age and use. Small brown marking on the underside of Ride a Cock Horse.
All in great vintage condition.
Would make a lovely baby shower or christening gift.
