Modern Motor November 1980
MOTOR magazine was originally published as Modern Motor from its inaugural issue on 9 May 1954 by the late Colin Ryrie as MD of Modern Magazines and Jules Feldman OAM as editor. The name derived from the publishing house that produced it, Modern Magazines. Colloquially, the title was abbreviated to Motor, and subsequently the word 'Modern' was dropped from the title to become simply “MOTOR” in 1992. The magazine is headquartered in Melbourne.
Dylan Campbell was the editor of MOTOR between 2013 and 2020. After switching to Wheels in September 2020, Campbell was succeeded as editor at MOTOR by Andy Enright. MOTOR focuses on prestige and high-performance vehicles and covers every aspect of performance-car culture.
For sale is a November 1980 edition of Motor Magazine featuring the new Mazda 323 Front Wheel Drive and a comparison test of the Commodore 2.85 Litre vs Falcon 3.3 Litre for 1980, along with an interesting in depth article on EV Car Batteries. The condition I would describe as 9/10, excellent condition for its age of 42 years. This magazine has some excellent articles for BMW, Holden, Ford, Mazda, Fiat, Mitsubishi, Alfa and De Tomaso enthusiasts making it a worthwhile addition to your collection of motoring memorabilia.
Covered in this November 1980 edition of Motor Magazine are articles on;
