The Children of Camp Fortuna – Five children spend their holidays in Cairo at their father’s army base, and foil a local drug smuggler.
Mr Hepthwaite Returns – Brown returns to the world of theatre in this fantasy about a talking cat costume.
Figure of Eight – centred on the growing friendship between two children and their Swiss au pair Heidi, who introduces them to the world of ice-skating.
Citizen of Cairo – a young Muslim boy Farouk makes a living showing tourists around Cairo.
The Rainbow Caravans – extracts from a young girl’s diary. Londoner Sally Dimble longs to be a published author, although she worries that her life’s too boring to write about… then the circus comes to town.
