7 Antique & Vintage Tins & Bottles For Dressings, Ointments and Musk
$86 Negotiable
7 antique and vintage tins and bottles for a variety of dressings, ointments and musk as follows (with individual prices for purchase separately which are not negotiable and don't include postage):
1. 62mm tall eight sided clear glass bottle with 8 sided bakelite lid (18mm diameter) for Frozol Ice which is for removing corns and calluses. The lid has a dropper attached to it. I have not opened the bottle but it appears to be empty of any liquid. Instructions are on paper glued to the outside of the bottle, some of which has worn away. Made by Eastland Laboratories Ltd., Binghamton, New York for Riley-Williams in Melbourne in 1920-30s. ($6);
2. 72mm tall, 30 x 15mm base clear glass empty bottle with black bakelite lid (14mm diameter) for Faulding's Lavender Water with Musk. The bottle has FAULDING embossed on it's back. Made by F. H. Faulding & Co. Ltd. probably in Australia as it had a business in each State Capital as well as London in 1920-30s. ($5);
3. 80mm diameter, 25mm high, metal tin of Dr Lucas's Papaw Ointment. Top of tin has part of it's label missing; directions on base (last photo) are very clear; and the tin is nearly full of ointment. The directions indicate it was used to heal "cuts, wounds, bruises, scalds and burns". It has also been used by some Hollywood stars as an outstanding lip gloss. Made by a Brisbane business called Lucas' Papaw Remedies on Beaudesert Road, Acacia Ridge, Brisbane in 1920-30s and which is still making it today. ($24);
4. 52mm diameter, 20mm tall, metal tin for Cuticura Ointment. Scratches on rim and sides of lid; scratches on both rims of base; directions on bottom of tin very clear; label on top of lid clear; and tin is maybe 1/5 to 1/4 full of ointment. Made by Cuticura Pty. Ltd., Sydney in 1940-50s. Used as an emollient or moisturiser and for minor abrasions, scalds and burns. ($26);
5. 80 x 50 x 7mm metal tin for Elastoplast First Aid Dressings. Tin is empty. Made in England by T. J. Smith & Nephew, Ltd. In very good condition. ($25);
6. 80 x 58 x 8mm metal tin for Flexiplast Flexible First Aid Dressings. Tin is empty. Made in England by Edward Taylor Ltd. In poor condition with lots of rust on lid, less on bottom and inside. ($5); and
7. 90 x 70 x 8mm metal tin for aerated BAND-AID Elatic First Aid Dressings. Tin is empty. Made in England by Johnson & Johnson. In good to very good condition. ($25).

- 5 Vintage Small Silverplated Meat Serving ForksCollection of 5 vintage/perhaps antique meat server forks. Most are silverplated although the silver has worn off the oldest 5-pronged one. That one was made by Mappin and Webb, silversmiths based in both London and Sheffield between about 1880 and 1920. Unfortunately, it has a crack in the faux bone-handle on one side too. The longest one with the pinkish faux bone-handle is about 175mm long and the shortest (all metal) is 140mm long. Postage is not included in price. Pickup in Canberra for cash.$12SHIPPING OFFEREDNegotiableLyons, ACT•48w
- Old Trident 3-Pronged Bone-Handled & Silverplated Bread Server ForkVintage faux bone-handled and silverplated trident style bread server fork. It is in good condition and is about 216mm long. Postage is not included in price. Pickup in Canberra for cash.$25SHIPPING OFFEREDLyons, ACT•48w
