Sailboat - Bruce Robert’s 35ft Ketch
$16,500
Up for sale is our Bruce Roberts 35ft Ketch. She is a working progress so please read add well before responding.
We purchased her at the beginning of COVID and spent some time living onboard and working on various projects. Since then we have returned to work and unfortunately have no time to invest.
Specs
Make: Bruce Roberts 35
Length: 35ft
Material: Fibreglass GRP
Beam 3m
Sail: Ketch Rig
Headroom inside 6ft 4inches
Engine: Volvo Penta MD2030 (not working)
Sleeps: 6-7 (2 cabins + saloon)
We purchased the boat during COVID as a project and have done quite a bit of work on it but it is still a working progress. Would suit someone looking for a project.
What we have done:
Sanded and pained decks with kiwigrip
Painted some of interior
Re wired a good amount of the electronics
Added a chart plotter
Purchased anchor (Sarca XL one size up)
Installed an 80L holding tank
New LED light in galley
3 x 150amh deep cycle batteries
Victron 720 battery monitor
2 x 100 watt solar panels
Victron solar controller
Soft marine floor
Manual toilet installed
Key areas:
Sails needed
Engine is not working. Safe to assume it needs a rebuild or to be replaced. It was running but after sitting for 6 months it now has a loud banging sounded when it’s started. Local mechanic quoted approx $2000 for a rebuild. The gear lever needs replacing as well.
Boat is priced to account for the work needed.
Mizzen needs re rigging but the main isn’t too bad.
We have a highfield 2.9 with a Tohatsu 9.8 we can include in the sale.
As mentioned, she’s definitely a project and would suit someone okay with quite a bit of work. Please only enquire if this is you. I work away so do not have time to waste.
You are welcome to use the current mooring for a few months if needed.
