Stubben Scandica Dressage Saddle
$1,200
Seat: 17inch
Gullet Stamped: 31
Front: 12cm
Middle: 7cm
Rear: 6cm
Flap length from top of stirrup bar: 16”
Knee blocks: Yes medium/large
Calf Block: No
Girth points: 2 long points Panel fill: Flocked, gusseted.
The main structure of this saddle is in very good condition, with some markings from the stirrup leathers.
The double leather on the girth points has separated (a known stubben problem) but is in no way dangerous it is just unsightly to some.
Adjustable by saddler
Finer details: General wear and tear from previous owner which includes scuffing on the cantle and on the front edges of the flaps and small marks which aren’t breaking into the leather over the seat. But overall I have brought the leather back to life and maintained it over the last 3 years with minimal use until the last 10 months.
Side note: though it doesn’t effect the use of the girth points, they have split like many stubben saddles have done (can provide photos). This was how I purchased the saddle and haven’t had time to get fixed as they don’t create an issue. Purely superficial and you can easily get fixed by saddler or DIY.
This has been a great saddle for me, fitting my larger thoroughbreds and any warmbloods I have ridden. I no longer need this saddle as I only compete in Show Jumping.
Priced for a quick sale $1,300 unmounted not Including postage and non negotiable.
Advertised second hand prices range from $1,500-$2,500
