Vintage hand-made book-cover in genuine suede leather with interior bookmark attached. Possibly 1970s or earlier. Machine stitched interior has folds for holding the book, with intricately detailed edges all around. Attached bookmark has some staining (refer photos). Front is hand-painted with a scene of a bear, pine trees and the moon. The cover has the motto "Books are Silent Friends" and is marked Vancouver B.C. A very charming and unusual one-off piece.
