Orange Crucifix Orchard Plant

The Crucifix orchid is well known and easy to grow in hot to warm climate. They are a terrestrial orchard which can reach up to 90cm tall, with cylindrical or terete stems with two-ranked leaf arrangement of approximately 10cm long.
They love full sun, however around mid-day the benefit by being near other plants for protection
Temperature
Their ideal day temperature is between 18 – 25 degree C, while night temperature between 12 – 16 degree C. They grow well on the Sunshine Coast with our high humidity.
Flower
This crucifix orchard is free blooming all year round on terminal branched raceme with apical clusters that open in succession as seen in photo 1. Flowers are small 2.5 to 4cm in diameter. To stimulate flowering, the main trunk can be pruned back to 2.3 eyes to the base.
