It was made in the historic Hawkesbury district of NSW around 1850 & it is presented in original condition. It is a prime example of early Australian furniture. All timbers are Hawkesbury Red Cedar with no secondary timbers employed. It has been made by hand with no machinery (various hand saws, adze, planes & scrapers).
