Kriesler Mantel Valve Radio Compact 1960s
Negotiable
SHIPPING OFFERED
Hi I have for sale a used Vintage Kriesler Mantel Valve Radio.
It has been in storage and may have scuff marks, see photos.
I have discovered a small (15mm long) crack in the top of the case near the centre that I did not notice when cleaning or photographing it initially.
I have tested it with a multimeter for safety and found no faults.
When you turn the volume control to the ON position the light behind the Station Selector Dial functions.
I did not want to leave it running without being checked internally for any potential problems due to it's age.
If you intend to use it regularly equipment like this should have all the capacitors replaced as they dry out over time to prevent future problems.
It was available between 1962 & 1965.
The model name was "Compact 11-90"
It is 4 valve broadcast receiver housed in moulded plastic cabinet.
This was one of the last of the domestic valve broadcast receivers marketed in Australia.
Valve Audio equipment has a deeper tone compared to the tinny sound of digital devices.
Features a "Magnavision" all States illuminated dial for ease of station selection.
As the dial is rotated it magnifies the station Call Signs.
