1983 Eko M-33 “Shortgun” guitar
$1,150 Negotiable
Made in Italy. Very rare and ultra-unique.
As heard on the hit track “My Sharona” by The Knack.
Finish: stained, with clearcoat lacquer.
Body: solid spruce. Neatly routed sockets for all the electrics. Rifle-butt shaped body. Les Paul style stop-tailpiece, solid brass, chromium plated: in fact, on the underside it is stamped with 'LP-S' and 'Made in Japan'. Fully adjustable bridge (intonation, height, tilt), solid brass, chromium plated. Plastic saddles.
Neck: 'selected rosewood' fretboard. 3-ply laminated construction (maple-mahogany-maple). 3 aside, open-backed tuners. 'Reinforced neck' = adjustable truss-rod with truss-rod cover. Plastic nut (original). 24-fret fingerboard; last 2 frets overhang the body. Neatly routed neck socket. Unbound neck / fingerboard. Mother-of-pearl dot inlays. Slim-to-medium frets. 4-bolt neck: rearward screws are longer than the forward screws. Forward strap pin screws through the neckplate. Absolutely beautiful neck!
Electrics: 1 x 'HD' Eko humbucker pickup (I believe they are made by DiMarzio). 1 volume and tone control. Lead jack on the bottom bout.
Other details:
The guitar was professionally set up. The neck socket needed a shim; a missing screw-nut was placed on the pickup selector; the nut was replaced with a bone nut (the original nut had been mal-adjusted and was too low!); the truss-rod was adjusted; the intonation was set. The action is now low and 'soft' ... REALLY nice! ;)
Weight: 1.85kg.
Dimensions: 929 x 182 x 63mm (36.6 x 7.2 x 2.5 inches).
Bridge width: 50mm (string spacing)
Nut width: 35mm (string spacing)
10” radius fretboard
9-42 D’Addario strings, plus a spare set
No serial number or date stamps to be found anywhere!
Was originally sold with a vinyl gig-bag. Didn't come with the original case, but it fits a “ProTec CU200 Standard Half-Sized Electric Gig Bag”. This case fits a ¾ Strat.

- 1964 Silvertone by Danelectro amp-in-case model 1448This is a piece guitar vintage history! Legends of guitar started on Danelectro guitars, just like these (Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix etc), and they are still heard throughout the music World today. Silvertone amp-in-case guitars, made by Danelectro, and sold through the Sears catalog. They made five different models, between the years 1963 to 1967, and I have all of them. Probably the only collection of its type in Australia!? However, here is your chance to own one of them. Three of them are up$1,850SHIPPING OFFEREDWynnum West, QLD•66w
- 1999 Telestar Lisa amp-in-caseWhen it comes to rare, these are rare … less than 400 of each ever made. Probably the only ones of their kind in Australia!? Google search the notoriety of these guitars. I have both the Mona and the Lisa for sale. Both are in “as new” condition. The amp runs on batteries, or will need a small transformer to run it in Australia (as the amp runs on USA voltage). All original. These are quite obviously reminiscent of the Danelectro built Silvertone amp-in-case guitars, for which I am selling$1,500SHIPPING OFFEREDWynnum West, QLD•66w
