Wanted: I want a two-part enamelled tinware soapdish (white & blue trim)
Years ago, from about 1860 to 1950s enamelled tinware was very popular. It was "budget" ware - cheaper than china & dearer than uncoated tinware, but very long-lasting if cared for properly. It was the stuff the average householder could afford to buy and thus was considered "cottage ware". Hundreds of thousands of Victorian-era cottages were kitted out with lots of it.
