Vintage Japanese 1970s salt and pepper shakers
Made in the early 1970s these salt and.pepper shakers are approximately 10cm tall, with a green glaze that has a darker band about the top. Like almost all Japanese salt and.pepper shakers, they have weird numbers of holes. I. This case, the salt has three and the pepper has four. They are in great condition, have the stoppers, and are marked Japan on the base.

Vintage 1950s Japanese china vanity tray

Vintage Japanese fish serving plates
These vintage Japanese fish serving plates show that you can never be to obvious in stating your purpose. We know these plates are for serving fish because the plates are actually shaped like fish, the plates are decorated with fish, and the plates also have pictures of fish condiments (parsley and lemon). The two trays are in fantastic condition and have the Made in Japan logo on the base. The price is for both trays as a set.

In the 1950s Japan began en export drive to fund their post WWII rebuilding program. Central to that effort were simple, colourful ceramic items such as this pair of 1950s salt and pepper shakers. At the time, the low price and bright coloured glazes mesmerised a public slowly emerging in from the rationing of the war, eager for colour and a lighthearted approach. Vintage Japanese figures - mice - Newcrest
These wonderful figures of mice with hats and clothes were made in Japan just after WWII. Intriguingly, they were made in Japan for Newcrest ceramics in America. Newcrest were owned by a Japanese family in America who stocked their own range of gifts, including these wonderful figures of cartoon styled mice.
