2009 HONDA JAZZ GLi 5 SP AUTOMATIC 5D HATCHBACK
I am selling my car as we have upgraded to the bigger one. The tires are changed to the new ones and break pad, mission oil and engine oil all checked recently. The Jazz seems to be a car that Honda got right. Complaints are few and far between, but there are a couple of checks we'd make before any money changes hands.
The first would be to make sure the park-brake not only holds the car on a hill, but also makes a distinct clicking noise when you apply the brake.
Some earlier models had a manufacturing flaw that saw the ratchet mechanism fail, the park-brake release and the car roll down any hill it was parked on. There's a high likelihood that it was fixed by this stage of the game, but we'd still check it.
The clever interior means that a lot of these cars were used to transport dogs, surfboards, mountain bikes, you name it. So, make sure the interior isn't too badly beaten up.
Finally, there was a recall for these cars built in the 2015 model-year to check a fundamental part in the CVT transmission. If this part broke, the car could either lose drive or experience a front-wheel lock-up. Check with a dealer to ensure the recall has been attended to.
