2007 FORD PJ RANGER 4x4 XLT 3.0L TURBO DEISEL DURATORQ Timing belt came loose whilst I was driving and now it won’t turn over (new belt installed). There was no noise or shudder whatsoever when it came off, I only noticed as I went to accelerate out a roundabout and nothing. I haven’t taken it to a mechanic but have had a friend take a Quick Look at it at home and he couldn’t get it to turnover but only spent 20 mins trying. car is currently unregistered and the battery is flat. outside of that works really well for its age. was owned by a car buff and then a mechanic before me. I've had it for approx 4 years. has been not much use for the past 6 months or so. after market clutch and exhaust. really smooth drive, serviced it around mid last year and told me everything was fine hasn't had much driving since then. Air con needs re gassing. central locking makes noise. rear electric window doesn't work. Good project car or some one who knows how to repair a slipping gearbox transmission.
