Rhipsalis cereuscula (mistletoe, coral or rice cactus) hanging plant

Rhipsalis cereuscula is called the rice cactus because of the rice-sized segments along its stems. Its growth habit is reminiscent of mistletoe and some corals as well. This species has a more quirky growth habit than others, which gives it enormous charm! It can have an irregular shape owing to some stems growing straight up until their own weight causes them to hang. This is especially noticeable in my 'Rhipsalis in green window box' other listing. All Rhipsalis love humidity and filtered l

Rhipsalis hanging plant

A stunning Rhipsalis with lots of 'wow' factor! Rhipsalis love humidity and filtered light, and make excellent houseplants. The 200 mm diameter hanging basket comes with a 350 mm removable clasp hanger. This gives you the option of placing it on a stand or even a table for it to drape down. Please note that this is a saucerless pot, but with a large indent in the bottom — if you water around the edges water will collect around this outlet rather than drip out. Society Garlic in 90 mm bottomless pot

Several available. The first photo is what you get - a pot containing 5 or 6 individual and mature plants in a clump. The foliage is drooping as it can't support its own weight! The second photo is a close-up of what society garlic looks like in the ground, and the third is the small agapanthus-like flower - in fact, a clump of these as a border look like a miniature agapanthus border! Society garlic is in the same family as garlic, and gets its name from *not* producing a garlic smell on th

As many mature matchstick bromeliads (Aechmea gamosepala) as will fit in a large box (390 x 280 x 140 mm). Expect 4 or 5 depending on spread, with any pups going along for the ride! Plants may or may not be flowering when sent. Please note that I only send registered post so as to protect both parties. Add $24 for registered postage or $28 for registered express postage. The two photos are of the same plants. In the first photo you can see a pup on the middle plant, which is not obvious in th

Matchstick bromeliad (Aechmea gamosepala), single, potted

A single matchstick bromeliad (Aechmea gamosepala) in a 100 mm diameter pot. The bromeliad is a bit over 300 mm tall not including the flower spike. Called 'matchstick bromeliad' because of the funky psychedelic-coloured 'matchsticks' along the flower spike. (The blue bits are the actual flowers.) These are epiphytic plants, meaning that in the wild they would normally grow on another plant (without harming it in any way), and thus their roots are designed to attach to a surface rather than t
