Golden sugar cane produces tall canes to around 3 – 4 meters which has a beautiful golden colour with a green stripe, making it look similar to some of the Golden bamboo species. Pick up from Tewantin, QLD Dwarf Orlando Tangelo trees grow to about 1.5 to 2.5 meters and are ideal for growing in small spaces or in pots permanently. I find they do especially fantastic in unglazed terracotta where the soil can breathe and drain well. Feed the tree with a slow release citrus food and it will fruit over the warmer months each year. A 3 year old dwarf tree can produce around 20-30 fruits a year in good conditions. This tree is dwarfed by the flying dragon rootstock it is graft
