This external hard drive enclosure has passive cooling (no fan), via its aluminium body. There are two drive trays that can be removed as required. I’ve had this for a while and do not remember all the specs. It is USB2 and has FireWire. I have used it with a SATA III (SATA 6), 3TB HDD, but I can’t guarantee that it will work with all drives.
