The case is of solid oak with a Baltic pine backboard. The circular dial is surrounded by a radial cut pattern in the timber, giving a totally different look to the clock. The case is of figured mahogany with stringing and cross banding used widely. The dial has painted scenes of cottages in the 4 corners and arch.
