German Anton Riemerschmid Munchen Amber Liqueur Bottle with Labels

This is a rare, empty liqueur bottle from the Anton Riemerschmid distillery in Munich Germany. It is marked on the side Anton Riemerschmid Munchen and embossed on the bottom 0.7L. The bottle is hand painted in beautiful vibrant colours and features an old traditional Munich church and monks tending a still on the reverse side.
The paper labels are for a liqueur called Benediktbeurer Kloster (monastery) Gold.
Bottle is in excellent condition with some ageing and damage to the paper stick on labels.

The business continue under his name until 1865 when he moved the factory to Prater Island; located in the middle of the river Isar that flows through the city of Munich. Subsequently his sons moved the business to Vienna, Austria. At one time, the hand painted family crest on these bottles was thought to be from one of their family's names.
