This is an early Australian Cedar Chest of Drawers that presents in original condition. It was made by cabinetmakers George Robert Debney of Adelaide Circa 1848. The origin of this piece is from the Hunter Valley. The timbers and finish are all original and the surface patina suggests a well loved item with caustic stains around the bowl from soap.
