The back sleeve contains two small product samples. The booklet also includes an article on “The science of keeping fit”. Extracts from Medical Maladies by Dr Leonard Williams and comments from customers are also contained. There is a small amount of rust around the original staples but otherwise this

This historical Cockney figure has incredibly bright glaze and is in excellent condition. Modelled by Stanley James Taylor the base has a copyright date of 1986. Size 16cm in height.

The transfer print has the saying “Well if you know of a better ole, go to it". Other WWI Items decorate the edge. The rear marks are clear Bairnsfather Ware Grimwade’s with a picture of “Old Bill“. Also the rear has the Grimwades green marking and dates relating to the First World War including the Peace in 1919. The dish is in good condition with glaze crazing commensurate with age. Size 14cm wide, 3 cm deep.

According to the National Archives of Britain this pattern was registered******1943. https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/browse/r/h/C89347. With crème glaze and crimson brown band this is a rare example of the austerity designs during the WW2 period. There is a fine band of gold on the crimson band. Both pieces are stamped with the Clarice Cliff signature, registered pattern number and Newport Pottery of England. In excellent condition. Sizes, cup 7cm high, saucer 14.5cm wide.

In perfect condition this set in vibrant green has a large grape leaf design with cross hatch background. Stamp on rear of cup, probably French with the letter V incised. Sizes, cup 6cm high and saucer 12.5cm across.

The cup and saucer has beautiful decoration of birds and flowers trimmed with gold. Gold trim on handle and base of cup indicates little use. Royal Crown Derby rear stamp indicates 1951 production year. In very good condition. Sizes, cup 6cm H, saucer 12cm across.

This attractive pair of Anglo/Indian (?) origin are amazingly constructed of bone, brass pins and brass features with painted highlights. Tip of feather tails are chipped which could be repaired with a brass feature. With a little TLC these would be an exceptional decorator piece with similar pieces priced in the $1000’s.
