Here is a completely intact The Courier Mail newspaper, dated Thursday June 13 1991. It features Queensland Maroons captain, Wally Lewis, holding aloft the State of Origin shield, after winning the series the night before. This is the very photo from which the Wally Lewis statue out the front of Lang Park, is based on. So, a bit of Maroons history here. Here is a page, as taken from the Brisbane Sunday Truth, dated August 1958. It is an advertisement for the new 1958 FC Holden. It is an actual page, NOT a photocopy, as I have shown the other side of the page. It would come up pretty good framed, in a Holden fans den. This page measures 385 mm high, by 297 mm wide. Johnnie Walker whisky bottle, and wooden cradle, from 1974. A dad bought his then 16 year old daughter, a ticket in this Johnnie Walker bottle of whisky, at the Sandgate RSL, in 1974. She won it, but her dad held on to it, until she turned 21 in 1979, when they opened it. Her three brothers then helped demolished it, so it is bone dry. LOL. This special Tee shirt commemorates the reopening of Lang Park (The Cauldron), on Wednesday the 11th of June, 2003. The great Cameron Smith made his Origin debut in this series, and who went on to play 42 games for the Queensland maroons. A very special piece of Origin memorabilia. Here are two old National Cash registers from the 1960's. They are for spare parts, or restoration. There is no drawer for either register. One of these registers was working perfectly a couple of years ago, but is now rusted up, but not jammed.
