Offered for sale is this vintage 20th Century African carved ironwood sculpture, dating post-WW2. The exact country of origin is unknown, however given the subject is most likely from South-East Africa. In a charming naive style, the artist has crafted a powerful representation of a Black Rhino. Over time the timber has taken on patination that confirms it being a vintage item and not modern reproduction. Please note there has been a previous repair to the front left leg.
