Offered for sale is an original Australian Cedar Chest of drawers. It was made in the historic Hawkesbury district of NSW around 1850 & it is presented in original condition. It is a prime example of early Australian furniture. All timbers are Hawkesbury Red Cedar with no secondary timbers employed. Offered for sale is a signed Satinwood Bedside Cabinet of exceptional quality. It bears the impressed metal label of "Urquhart & Adamson" Liverpool England. Thomas Urquhart & David Adamson were cabinet makers who were renowned for producing high quality, elegant & fashionable furniture during the second half of the 19th Century. They had premises at 13 - 15 Bold St., 22 - 26 Concert St., & 26 - 28 Fleet St. Liverpool. Examples of their work are found worldwide. From my research this cabinet was

Beautiful handcrafted warm tone solid wood Dutch antique piano stool, hall stool, dining stool. Excellent condition for its age. Paper cord was replaced by an upholsterer a few years ago. Standard 45cm height. 40cm deep by 51cm long. Very solid and sturdy and will last many more years. Highly unique. Love this stool and only selling because no place for it in current home. An original Fenton "Holly" bowl in marigold. It is in the form of a random ruffled rim raised from a circular base. The holly pattern is repeated to the centre. The total width is 230mm & it presents in good, undamaged condition. Careful packing is offered for postage.
