Vintage 1950s Irish souvenir Shillelagh
In the 1950s you could buy shillelaghs as souvenirs of your visit to the Emerald Isle. This Shillelagh is from a branch of a blackthorn hedge, where the branch emerges from the trunk. Like older traditional shillelaghs, this one has been painted black with the bark intact, and the core of the part you smack people with painted with a three leaf clover. It's a very traditional piece. The Shillelagh is approx 40cm long, and has quite some heft to it. If you wished to use it as a fighting stick, i
