These Japanese Les Paul copies were built by the Matsumoku factory in 1976-78. This brand was made alongside all the other famous brands of the day they made like Aria Pro II, Greco, Ibanez, Fernandes. Lovely post Matsumoku built Aria Pro II CS (Cardinal Series). I think these were made by Kawai after the fire destroyed the Matsumoku factory in 1987. Mahogany body and neck giving light weight with balance and a rich tone. Sounds and plays very well and has a coil tap on the humbucker for extra variety.
