This is a brass lamp that was purchased around 40 years ago to match a brass bed and other fittings in a house that is now long gone. The electrical globe fitting is a bayonet type. The ON/OFF switch is a pull string/cord which is visable in the photos as a white string from the globe fitting. The mechanism toggles between one pull to turn “ON” then a second pull turns “OFF”.
