Good unit. Goes like a train. Nothing can stop it! 2 owners in 25 years. Always serviced at Graeme Coopers in Sydney. Only selling because a lovely Disco 4 just landed in my lap. Brand new front tyres. good rear tyres. In the past few years it has complete, new air-con, brake rotors, radiator and battery. Engine clean and dry, uses no oil. Never had an accident that required repairing, just a few scrapes on bush tracks. Said scrapes are on aluminium panels so no rust issues! Interior pretty goo

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR: RANGE ROVER (2013 ON)

Despite its prestige image and high price-tag, it seems Range Rovers are just like many other cars: prone to troubles that occur on a less-than-random basis.

As such, this model Range Rover has a long list of recalls that need to have been carried out, so a check with a dealer will tell you what's been done and what hasn't. It's important.

Beyond that, the V6 diesel engine has been known to destroy its own crankshaft bearings. If this happens, the owner was often treated to an old-fashioned engine blow-up with con-rods exiting the engine block and complete engine destruction the result.

Engine assembly errors were to blame, apparently. The good news is that most dodgy engines would have showed their hand by now.

V8-powered examples could have been fitted with faulty engine mounts from new and, if so, these needed to be replaced. The V8 also suffered from a batch of dud radiators which could leak from the top tank, leading to overheating of the engine if it was left unattended.
