When in 2003 Holden took its One-Tonner ute and combined it with a four-door body and the four-wheel-drive system from its Adventra wagon, it created Australia's first locally produced AWD model. These were known as the Cross 6 (V6 engine) and Cross 8 (V8) models, though the Crewman was also available as a simpler rear-drive model. Both the V6 and V8 engines were upgraded during the Crewman's short lifespan, which proved to be far less successful than rival Ford's AWD effort - the Territory SUV.

Bought car as a roller 250,000 ks,,, very tidy for ks- owner kept it well, it has full aftermarket diffilipo exhaust but i have a l stock cat back aswell if you want, the original motor was the AFM l76 6.0 witch i replaced with the L98 6.0 motor from wreckers he said 90,000ks - i have receipt.. motors really quite (apart from exhaust), no sounds until warm it starts ticking. Has VE Commodore mag wheels with Bridgestone RE003 performance tyres .Has clear coat pealing on bonnet, guard, and canopy but never bothered me.
