This is a condenser mic specifically designed for kick drums. It has a low profile perfect for laying inside of a bass shell to capture all the attack of the beater head. It's very similar to the Shure Beta91A, though in tests I found the Sennheiser to be a bit less compressed-sounding and with some extra presence around 1.2-1.7kHz. It’s very heavy duty. It’s made from heavy material and has piping as in the photo’s shown. It will protect the footswitch extremely well. And would be great a gigs to prevent and spills on your footswitch.
