Unders and Overs - Greg Chappell cricket book - cricket controversies
Unders and Overs (The Controversies of Cricket) is a great title for this book. It includes the infamous underarm bowling incident (from Chappell's perspective), a controversial catch, and the protest walk-off by the Indian team. What a summer 1980-81 was! Cricket Book - Bradman: The Illustrated Biography -maybe the best ever
This is quite possibly the best and most comprehensive biography of Sir Don Bradman ever written. It's a large book (30 x 22 cm) and contains 376 pages, with 300 illustrations - a combination of photographs, newspaper clippings, cartoons and documents from Don Bradman's own private collection. The 16 chapters cover everything from his childhood, his early playing days, his first tests, his marriage, the bodyline series, his involvement in World War 2, his final test, his knighthood and beyond.

Biography of Greg Chappell - crickets incomparable artist
This biography of Greg Chappell is perhaps the most comprehensive available. It starts from his childhood, and goes through his rise to cricket prominence, to the Test team and the captaincy, and ultimately to his retirement. Of course it wouldn't be a Greg Chappell biography without coverage of the World Series Cricket era and the infamous underarm bowling incident. For all of that, it's a bargain at 5 bucks. PS. This cricket yearbook from 1989 (edited by Richie Benaud) includes the famous 88/89 test series against West Indies - back when they were almost unbeatable - and the unforgettable 1989 Ashes series in England. These mini-books on Don Bradman are ideal for the cricket fan or cricket collector. The two mini-books are beautifully set in a cardboard holder with a plastic protective slide-off casing. I've only taken off the casing to take the photos for this post.
