This small table (1200mmL x 810mmW x 780mmH) is properly described as strong and sturdy, a heavyish solidly constructed 1950s rustic style all timber kitchen table, likely made from hoop pine or similar. The table top is covered with laminex and edged with a stainless steel surround. Some fading and damage is evident on the laminex surface, as seen in the attached photos. Hoop Pine is a light coloured wood with a beautiful golden lustre; the wood in the photos is a dark grey because its so old; but is beautiful underneath. I’d guess it’s around 1900 perhaps a little earlier. Hand crafted dove tailing , old school. Probably hoop pine. Modern handles fitted that go well with it. Drawers are all fitted with locks but someone has filled the key holes with filler. Easy to restore the locks if desired. Drawers are deep and hold heaps.
