This 2 Channel amp/receiver is an entry level for Pioneer but don't let it deceived you. Match it with the right speakers and it can shine. I have this paired with an old B&W bookshelf speakers and I'm very happy. I don't even need a sub. I can demo it from a mild song to a bassy one. The Pioneer SX-225 is a very nice entry level amplifier which has a phono input for your vinyl and produces 40wpc which is plenty of power to driver most speakers. Importantly it has been recently tech serviced. The service and upgrades cost $150 so if you are after a cheap and reliable vintage amplifier with AM/FM capability, and a phono input this one might be for you. Happy to demo.
