I have a pair of AudioEngine 5A Active Monitor style Speakers. As can be seen the dust cap on one woofer is missing which isnt really an issue, but both tweeters dont seem to be working. Ive read up and it seems more likely faulty capacitors in the crossovers to be the cause. Anyway to compensate ive set them up as pictured in the last photo using a sound bar to provide the high end freqs. This arrangement sounds quite nice but volume wise would best suit a smaller space. PSB Alpha B1 bookshelf speakers and the Sub Series 1 subwoofer are a perfect combination. The speakers are pretty amazing for their size and the sub fills in the bottom register beautifully. They are perfect for small to medium sized listening environments but ro be honest, they can produce a room full of sound in most domestic listening environments. Both the speakers and subwoofer are highly regarded and well reviewed. The B1 speakers feature a metal dome tweeter and a 5.5in mid/bass driver.
