This typical Shimano quality 2-piece beach/ surf rod is new, purchased for a beach front holiday that COVID killed off, and as I now have a tinnie my fishing is mostly estuary. As the pics show it still has the shop tag on it and would be a great gift. It originally came as a combo but the reel supplied didn’t suit my style of beach fishing and has been sold separately. I have advertised this 1.8 m, 2 piece spinning rod as for a “junior”, but it is much better than that and would make a great gift for a youngster learning to fish. The rod was used a couple of times and my wife decided she didn’t like fishing and as the pics show it’s in like new condition. The rod has a line weight capability of 2.5 – 8 kg. The Shimano Olivio 1000FD spinning reel has recently been serviced and the main bearing replaced so it is in great condition, loaded with 80 m of new 0.4 m

These are my too fishing combos one is a 1000 spinning reel light set up The other is a heavier bait caster it’s a abu Gracier 135 for the bait caster 50 for the spinning combo Both work very well and smooth good condition and are both rigged the spinning combo has 6 pound mono and the bait caster has 15 pound Diwa mono If you buy both I’ll do 170 Not really used at all I bought them and found I didn’t enjoy fishing to much
