Very rare Kimberley Wandjina Unique State 2003 Artist Print by Traditional Owner Warren Barunga. Entitled ‘Wundoli’, the Wandjina spirit beings are depicted with Ungud, the Rainbow Serpent. The work was purchased from the artist in 2003 at the Mowanjum Community Gallery near Derby in the far north of Western Australia. The Mowanjum people comprise three language groups, the Worrorra, Ngarinyin and Wunumbal. To these people the Wandjina is the supreme Creator and a symbol of fertility and rain.
