Vintage pair of Victorian blue glass open salts
In the Victorian era, pre 1900, before salt shakers were mass produced and therefore inexpensive, salt was commonly served in 'open salts'. An open salt is basically a small glass (usually) container that contained salt for one setting. This pair of open salts are circular, with fluting and scalloped edges In a wonderful light blue glass. The pair of glasses are in perfect condition with no scratches, chips or cracks. They are stackable for easy storage. The price is for both salts as a set.
