Vintage 1920s American A&J Egg/Cream Beater/Mixer

1920s A&J egg and cream beater/mixer made in America. Other than the wooden handle and aluminium skirt., it appears to be made from chrome plated steel. It has some spotty rust, especially on the toothed winder as evidence of it's near 100 years of age. It stands 23cm high and the skirt diameter is about 14cm. It would have had a glass jar base originally. Postage would be extra.

Bunch of 1863 Bank of NSW Brass Keys on Keyring With 2/6 Reward Tag

This bunch of mostly brass keys comes with a historic metal tag which indicates they were made in or before 1863 and were the property of the Bank of NSW. The Bank of NSW was the very first bank established in Australia. It was located in Macquarie Place in Sydney in 1817 at the time Governer Macquarie was in charge of establishing the colony. Barter and promissory notes had been the medium of exchange, e.g. Macquarie used rum and cattle to have a hospital and a road to Liverpool built in the e

Rare Antique Pruning Secateurs Made in Birmingham C1913

These "Barrows Patented Pruners"/secateurs which were made by Burman & Sons Ltd in Birmingham, England over 100 years ago are very scarce probably because they are a mechanical marvel! The biggest plus is that they still work perfectly. Mechanical things were made to last in those days because the manufacturers had no concept of including obsolescence into what they made. The spring works, the closing catch works, the blade is sufficiently sharp, and it is a gardener's delight to have something

Vintage "Unique" Brand Cake Frosting/Icing Knife Possibly French Made

This would possibly be the longest frosting or icing knife/spatula you have ever seen. The brand is "UNIQUE" and another Gummie has suggested it is a French brand. The length of the knife/spatula is approximately 43cm of which the blade takes up nearly 30.5cm. The width of the blade is about 23mm. There is a little spotty tarnish on the blade but this does not detract from it's usefulness in spreading frosting, icing or cream on large cakes with ease. I bought it about 43 years ago in an antiqu

Two 1950s Wembley Ware Milk Boilers/Savers made in Western Australia

Postage in Australia is extra. Cash if picking up locally in Canberra. My grandmothers and mother used to use these porcelain milk boilers when boiling milk to stop the pan from overflowing and it worked. Sometimes they would continue to simmer the milk after it had boiled then put it in the fridge where the cream would come to the top and you could skim it off to have some on your cornflakes in the summer or your porridge in the winter. It was yummo. They were made in a factory in the Pert

Small 3.5 cm Wide Mica Rock Specimen

Postage in Australia is extra. Cash if picking up locally in Canberra. I thought this rock specimen was iron pyrites with a blue metallic lustre to it rather than the fool's gold lustre often associated with that substance. However, a kind Gummie has suggested it is a specimen of the mineral mica, the flecks of which we often see in the sand of Aussie beaches. It is only 4 grams. It is about 4cm long at it's longest and 3.5cm wide at it's widest and 1.5cm thick at it's thickest. As can be seen

Vintage Robert Krups, Solingen-Wald Perla Scale Made in Germany

Vintage Krups Perla scales made in Germany by Robert Krups, Solingen-Wald. The scales are in working order and would have been an essential part of a large kitchen. It's measurements are approximately 31cm long at it's longest and 21cm wide at it's widest by 9.5cm high. There is a little spotty rust in the top of the chrome plated tray and some around it's base.
